Don is a senior civil and structural engineer. Main areas of expertise include, design of reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, wood-frame, and heavy timber. Brad Carter, E.I.T. Civil / Structural

Brad graduated from the University Of New Brunswick in late 2005 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He has been working for Redwood since, as a Civil/Structural engineer in training.

 
 
 
 

 

Nick Clark, CTech, Civil/Structural Technologist

Nick is a Civil and Structural Design Technologist (graduating from BCIT with a drafting and design trades certificate 1995). Areas of experience are in civil and structural design for commercial, industrial, residential and municipal structures and land development. Nick has extensive 2D and 3D drafting experience, and he has worked on numerous commercial and industrial projects locally and in South America. Nick is also a computer network technician for Redwood.

 
 
 
 


Ron Parker, Civil/Structural Technologist

Ron is a senior civil design technologist with 30 plus years of local design experience. He has extensive knowledge of land development, roadway and drainage systems, and is highly experienced with structural integrity inspections and engineered safety systems.

 
 
 
 


Eric Burton, Civil/Structural Technologist

Eric is a civil and structural design technologist. He has design and CAD drafting experience in heavy industrial structures and structural integrity inspections.

 
 
 
 

 

 

Scott D. McIntosh, AScT, Civil/Structural Technologist

Scott is a civil and structural design technologist (graduated from the BCIT Civil and Structural Technology program in 2000). He has design, structural inspection, and CAD drafting experience (2D & 3D) with "Low-Rise Concrete/Masonry Apartments," "Pulp & Paper," "Hydroelectric" and "Smelting & Refining Complex" projects. Scott has worked on various projects throughout Canada and the United Kingdom.

 
 
 
 

 

 

Sean O'Farrell, E.I.T. Civil / Structural

Sean graduated from Camosun College as Civil Engineering Technologist in 2004 before going on to finish his Civil Engineering degree at Lakehead University in the spring of 2006. He has since been working for Redwood as a Civil/Structural Engineer in training.


 
 
 
 

 

 

Al Piva , Civil / Structural Designer, Estimator & Construction Mgm't

Al has nearly 30 years experience in commercial/industrial construction. About 10 of those years are in construction management. He brings a great deal of experience and expertise to Redwood. Al is an incredible asset to the Redwood team and is mainly focusing on constructability of engineering projects, project estimating and management, design and drafting and structural inspections.

 
 
 
 

 

 

Randy Bennett , Mechanical/Structural Technologist

Randy is a senior Mechanical Design Technologist (1978) with extensive experience in the Metallurgical and Material Handling fields. Along with 15 years of AutoCAD and 3D design knowledge. Randy also has a broad range of on-site Maintenance Engineering experience.

 
 
 
 

 

 

Mike Piva

Mike has joined the Redwood Engineering Ltd team as a structural inspector. Mike is a licensed carpenter and architectural technician who has worked the last 18 years in Ontario with construction experience in government, commercial, institutional, retail and private sectors. His experience includes development of estimating software, and estimating of quality custom cottages in Muskoka, Ontario. Mike has estimated and successfully managed projects for Ontario Realty Corporation including $ 4.5 million multi-phased renovation for Centre of Forensic Science and $ 2 million renovation project for Ministry of Finance.

 
 
 
 

 

 

Jim Zwick, P.Eng.

Jim Zwick is a mechanical engineer (UBC 1982), with over 25 years of plant experience in maintenance, project engineering and production.  He has worked in a variety of industries including wood products, heavy industry and an insulation factory.  Areas of specialty include mechanical reliability, failure analysis and process improvements.

 
 
 
 

 

 

Tony Sukkau, E.I.T. Civil / Structural

Tony graduated in 2006 with a Civil Engineering Technologist diploma from Okanagan College.  He then went on to complete a degree in Civil Engineering at Lakehead University in 2009.  Tony has spent several summers working for Redwood Engineering, and since completing his degree has returned as a Civil/Structural Engineer in training.

 
 
 
 

 

 

Jeff Graham, P.Eng.

Jeff joined the Redwood team in 2010 as a mechanical engineer (U of A, 2002) with 8 years of experience in the steel and petrochemical industries.  Areas of expertise include crane and lifting equipment design, repair, and maintenance, mechanical equipment design, repair, and maintenance, reliability analysis, and CAD/CAM.
